Emily Miller (Summer 2009)
It's a privilege to honor Emily as she graduates from Wilsonville High School! Emily has been studying voice with me for three years, and has been a bright spot in my studio.
Emily has a deep love for singing and both musical theatre as well as non-musical theatre productions. She has been in several productions over the years including Hello Dolly, You Can't Take it With You, Crimes of the Heart, Aida, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Thoroughly Modern Millie and most recently, The Importance of Being Earnest. Her characters have been diverse and she has really grown as an actor and singer both in depth and talent.
Emily has also consistently scored high marks in solo and ensemble competitions over the years, and has been a featured soloist in her high school choir. This year she was chosen and participated in both the All Northwest and All State Choir. On top of all of this she has been and continues to be an excellent student leader and role model. She hopes to focus her college studies toward becoming a doctor.
It's been a privilege to be your voice teacher, Emily...your absence in my home each week will take some getting used to and you will really be missed, but I'm so proud of you and excited for this next season of your life. I look forward to seeing all you achieve in the years to come. You are a treasure!

Allison (April 2009)
Congratulations to our first featured student!
Allison is a high school sophomore. This is Allison's third year of voice lessons, but she has been singing for years in her school choirs as well at the Oregon Children's choir. She has been in four musicals: Amahl and the Night Visitors, Peter Pan, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat and most recently, Pirates of Penzance. She has been playing lacrosse for four years, and is on the girls' varsity team this year as goalie. She has taken part in the Model United Nations for two years and is currently part of the National Charity League. Allison is also part of her church youth group, and has been on mission trips to both Nicaragua and Nevada.
Allison was recently chosen from among students at four local junior high/high schools and along with two other students was named a Student All-Star. Her achievement was recognized
in the local paper.
Allison's hobbies are song writing, singing and hanging out with friends.
As Allison's voice teacher, I have been impressed with her desire to learn and grow in her musical ability, and her commitment and consistency in her lessons. She has a great vocal style, and a way of taking a song and making it her own. Our lessons are always fun, and I really enjoy working with her each week!
Congratulations and keep up the excellent work, Allison!
