Lauren Barton
Lauren has been a bright spot in my life for 5 years now...she started taking voice lessons in the eighth grade. She's been a very positive, consistent student and has enjoyed being challenged with some fun and difficult music through the years. She's currently a Senior at Westside Christian High School, where she'll graduate in June. She's a member of the National Honor Society as well as the varsity Volleyball and Tennis teams and also sings in the 13 member Solio Deo choir. This past summer she served at the Northwest Children's Outreach organization at Rolling Hills Community Church where she'll continue to help out as time permits. Lauren's desire is to become a pediatric nurse, and is currently in the school search and apply mode.
A little known fact is that Lauren is patiently awaiting the completion of her 1963 Falcon--her dad is feverishly working on getting it completed and on the road for her.
Lauren is a beautiful girl inside and out--she has such a great attitude and it has been a privilege to be her voice teacher for the past 5 years. I've loved laughing with her--our lessons are really fun! I'm already sad that this year will be the last, but know the future holds many great things for Lauren!

Rachel Luoto
Rachel is currently a senior at Wilsonville High School and this is her fourth year of voice lessons. She is an excellent student and was named a National Merit Scholar candidate--the top 1% in the nation, academically. She's one of those rare students that enjoys the challenge of singing all styles of music--she works hard during her lessons and it has been pretty cool to see her amazing improvement through the years. This past year she was chosen for Oregon's All-State Honor Choir and also received very high marks and favorable critique from the judges at the annual solo and ensemble competition. This will be her second year singing Handel's Messiah with the West Linn-Wilsonville choirs and she will also be singing in Wilsonville High School's fall production of Les Miserables
In her spare time, Rachel enjoys teaching four private piano students, and is a co-leader ministering to junior high girls at Rolling Hills Community Church. She also models in the Portland area.
Rachel is looking at a few different colleges and has a great future ahead, wherever her journey leads. What a privilege to be part of her life!
